Chambered Cairns of the Black Isle: Auchterflow (and the Folds of Auchterflow)
A leisurely walk of two hours along the main forest road of the Millbuie and then taking in the Folds of Auchterflow (Grid reference NH 6502 5782; MHG54007) and (until this year) a previously unreported Chambered Cairn (Grid Reference NH 6541 5767; MHG62780). The footpaths are excellent and give a good feel for the Millbuie. The guide is no expert and will welcome those who know far more about chambered cairns than he does! He does know the footpaths!
Meet at parking area south of the Mount Eagle mast, Culbokie to Munlochy Road (NH 6391 5788)
Children welcome if with adults; dogs welcome if on lead
