Children's Activities at Dunrobin Castle - CANCELLED
Join ARCH's Development Officer for an exciting Heritage Treasure Hunt around the grounds of Dunrobin Castle and the Dunrobin Castle Museum. Be a Heritage Detective and search for the past!

Carn Glas Essich Chambered Cairn
A visit will be led to this composite group of three conjoined cairns at Essich 3 miles outside Inverness which together form the largest Neolithic chambered cairn in the Highlands. This site has recently been cleared of gorse obscuring the site by members of NOSAS so that its plan can be more clearly seen. The visit will also look at a group of roundhouses and other later features in this landscape. MHG 3531
Meet at layby on the Bunachton Road from Essich, and above the electricity substation (NH 6507 3882). Parking is restricted so please car share if possible.
Children welcome if accompanied by an adult. No dogs and may involve walking through wet grass but generally on level ground.
