A public talk summarising the findings of the recent geophysical survey in the fields around Contin Church, and help plan for future archaeological activities.
Contin Church was founded in the 7th/8th century by the Applecross Saint Maelrubhe. Preliminary above-ground surveys have suggested buildings and possibly a settlement were present. This talk will show what was found during the site’s first ever geophysical survey, and what the next steps will be. Event organised by Contin Community Council with UHI Archaeology Institute (ORCA).
